When Baron von Munchen was born in Gaffeney, SC, he probably never expected to be a Coconut Dancer living on the island of Maui in Hawaii. He often was found shadowing his Poppie Tau wherever he went and sitting with him( along with his brother Maximus the cat) under the coconut trees – as Poppie carved Tikis. Tammy (mommie), Tau (Poppie), Auntie Jeanie and Uncle Stone would sing the Coconut Dance Song and Baron von Munchen would spring into action – bringing the coconuts to them, more dancing, then ripping the coconuts to shreds. Baron also enjoyed his camping and fishing trips to Hana, Maui with his Auntie Jeanie and Uncle Stone (where he occupied most of the sleeping space in the tent) and swallowed any fish Uncle Stone caught if someone didn’t keep a close eye on them. Baron enjoyed watching Sea Turtles from the shore (he didn’t like to get his feet wet) and chased them back and forth as the turtles swam safely around, oblivious to his antics. This huge, handsome Doberman Pinscher never met anyone he didn’t love, and they all loved him back. He will be forever loved and missed by all. He rests beneath the candlenut tree.
